Re: More Audio Visual Matters

Had a little time on my hands so I converted an old 16mm projector to a lamp, had to make a little AV show to help sell it, it's on Youtube so doesn't stream at the same quality as an Exe file. The link is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rn1jVFil6yw Eric PS just added another link to a recent show c...

Re: Forum Competition #130 - Lighthouses

Hi Paul As I said in my preamble, this shot was part of an AV show composed of our shots of Dungeness. It is a wierd place with shacks & ruins dominating the shingle foreshore. The shot I presented was my third attempt at the show, which is intended to portray the mood of the show. It was origin...

Re: Forum Competition #130 - Lighthouses

What a co-incidence, we've just come back from a holiday in Kent. One of the sites on my to do list was Dungeness which I've wanted to visit since my childhood when I read a book called "Disaster at Dungeness". The Dungeness images have been compiled into a surreal AV show but I won't spoi...

Re: Forum Competition #129 - A Record, Pure and Simple

I bought this at a car boot sale in Weston SM last year with a view to converting it to a lamp. After cleaning it up & having a new mirror cut I sold it on Ebay as it was too good to break up.

Re: Forum Competition#128 Natural Harbours, Lochs & Lakes

My picture was taken during a holiday on Anglesy. It depicts the mooring areas on both banks of the Menai Straits at Bangor pier. I took this as it revived memories of a Christmas cruise from Liverpool marina in our Westerly Griffon Eclipse, with my mate Neil, who almost got hyperthermia during the ...

Re: Forum Competition#127 "Eyes, Mouth, Eyebrows"

My entry is a picture of Simon King of the Hairy Bikers (poor mans Russel Crowe?). It was taken at a live recording of an episode of their show "Mum Knows Best".

Re: No More Nuts

When we lived in Leyburn North Yorkshire, the Library stocked a copy of AP, so while my Wife browsed the novels I browsed AP. The last periodical I subscribed to was Computer Active, but that was over 10 years ago. IMO most photography mags are just a vehicle for high priced advertising. I won't mis...

Re: i PHONES & i PADS

I started to read this topic, then almost fell asleep. I recently bought a Tesco Hudle tablet, which cost me £60 because we had some vouchers in hand and are or were at the time worth double. I looked at loads of other tablets before chosing the Hudle. One thing that stood out in the reviews was the...

Forum Competition#126 "Water Water Everywhere"

I've thought about this for a couple of hours, looked through the ADAPS forum comp' archive & scoured the 'net. I had a shortlist of 3 & this one won. As the title suggests, anything to do with water, rivers, lakes, the sea, floods, fountains, even the water coming out of your tap. Unlike th...

Re: Forum Competition#125 'Bridges'

Hi Lisa thanks for selecting my picture, secretly IMO it's one of the best I have taken. We were staying in a hotel near the Tyne & I wanted to get some pictures of the riverside. During the day I had spotted a small landing stage & said we would go back at dusk & get some shots. We got ...
