LANDSCAPE TRIPOD RECOMMENDATIONS
Hi ADAPSsters Could any of you landscape guys/girls recommend a really good tripod for landscape photography. The reason I'm asking is simply because I've had trouble keeping my camera completely still when shooting multi-exposure HDR or long exposure landscape photography on windy days. I've tired ...

ND1000 Help
Hi All, I've recently been shooting landscape using a ND1000 filter. One area I'm trying to accurately measure is balancing the exposure with the ND1000 filter. I'm aware that my Hoya ND1000 is reducing light by 10 stop, so to obtain the correct exposure you must multiply your shutter speed by 1000....

Best Ultra Wide Lens for a cropped sensor camera?
Hi All @ ADAPS Can anyone recommend a really nice ultra wide angle lens for my Canon 700D? I've been looking at the Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 EX DC HSM and the Sigma 8-16mm f/4.5-5.6 DC HSM? This review from the link below says Canons own ultra wide lens is not as good as these Sigma lenses. http://www.te...

Screw on Filters & stacking them. UV - POLARISER - ND
I have 3 screw in filters, Hoya HD UV, CL Polariser & variable ND filter. Is there a particular order to which they sit on the lens? Eg 1st screw on UV then polariser if needed or does it not matter ? Same with variable ND filter. Leave UV on then screw on ND filter or remove UV first? Lastly is...

Studio Day with PJ
I was back at ADAPS on Saturday with studio master Paul Jones. I was shooting photos for my friends new webpage. Once again Paul was on hand for advice and help. We used the usual ADAPS black and white backdrops as we did last time. We even used the alley outside to shoot using strobes with my 50mm ...

Hi All @ ADAPS Can anyone recommend a specific walk around lens under £500 for my cropped sensor canon 700D? Something that will work for travel photography. Eg. Canon, Sigma, Tamron etc..... The lens I've been looking at is a Canon EF-S 15mm-85mm f/3.5-5.6 which looks great from focal length perspe...

Re: Canon zoom lens for Rome ? Any recommendations ?
What brand would work well in the 18-135mm or the Canon 15-85mm dedicated cropped sensor 35mm equivalent of 24-136mm) Thanks for all your help guys. Darren newest ADAPS member :-) Don't necessarily dismiss lenses that get poor reviews, as the reviewers criteria may not be the same as ours. I use a l...

Canon zoom lens for Rome ? Any recommendations ?
Hi All, Can anyone recommend a good all around zoom lens for my Canon 700D? I'm off to Rome in August and want a single lens that will do pretty much everything from landscape to Portraits. I've been reading DPReview and they say stay clear of the 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 STM. Any help is much appreciated...
