Re: The ADAPS Year Book 2009-2010

John - I've had a word with my daughter about her order and the shipping cost. The basic shipping is £3.60 and is for a despatch within 15 days - She thought this would make delivery long past my birthday. So she decided on this alternative shipping which is despatch in 2 to 5 days - cost £9.60 with...

I'm am totally shocked that she has been charged £9.60 for Postage and Packing - just how do they justify such an outragious price and why was there no mention in your informatio...

Re: Pinhole success

Mark - The optimum diameter of a pinhole to give the sharpest image is calculated from the following formula devised by a Lord Rayleigh many years ago but still appropriate today. d = Diameter of Pinhole f = Focal length (50mm) L = Wavelength of Yellow/Green light (0.00055mm) d = 1.9 x Square Root(f...

John - You can start nearer to home by visiting the Air and Space Hall at the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry - where you can learn to overcome the snags of photographing in the restrictions of an indoor museum. Then there is the public Aviation Viewing Park at Ringway Airport which includ...
