ND filters

I have been offered an ND filter as a birthday gift and wondered what make and density would make a good all-rounder. If/when I get chance to go out with my camera - it is usually mid morning to mid afternoon and I have been having trouble with washed out skies. Other than bracketing (god help me) w...

Re: RAW vs Jpeg wite balance correction in Lightroom

Many thanks Gentleman for your sound and easy to understand advice. I went out on Sunday (Astley Mining Museum) for the first time in about 3 months - merely to have a play around with my camera and settings etc. Then to practice RAW conversion. I got some half decent shots and a little bit more con...

Re: RAW vs Jpeg wite balance correction in Lightroom

I have recently started shooting in RAW and from a beginners point of view it is a godsend. I try to get it right in camera but don't always succeed (believe it or not  ). Currently using ACR and elements. What I have noticed is that once I have done my conversion and saved to JPEG, it also sa...

Re: A little bit fruity

Hi Pauline, I like the 'gritty effect' of the fruit in the first image, however, I think perhaps I would have angled my bananas slightly differently - bit too upright! (No innuendos intended!!!)

Re: Tremaine Cornish

A very entertaining evening and an excellent exercise for us newbies. Most interesting to see what the most experienced members saw in the photographs that I would never have thought about. An excellent way for us to learn and to look at composition etc.##Janice

Re: Group Photograph

Hi Kevin, thanks for the help - worked a treat! I created a new layer and selected using the quick selection tool , within the new layer I was able to use the fill colour which filled in all the outlines. I then saved the new layer as a seperate doc and was left with a perfect outline copy. (First t...

Group Photograph

I have a group photograph (scanned) and I would like to create an image whereby I leave the outline of each person in which I can place a number and then list the names. I use PS elements 10 or Paint Shop Pro X2. Does anybody know if this can be done please?

Janice.

Re: blurb books

Not sure that it matters Pammie. I ordered the smallest square size book and my photos were approz 1.1KB 3125 x 2526. Also sent some much bigger and quite a lot smaller - all in the same book. The book was really good quality.
