This competition will be judged after midnight on Thursday 15th October.
Please bear in mind that people are not possessions (!) but anything else goes - you must have something that you treasure so let's have a superb picture of it. Make it so good that we can see why you are attached to it. A ring? A painting? A football programme? A record or CD? A marriage certificate? A family tree?
Whatever it is, please share it and we'll see who comes up with the most desireable image.

This is my entry, the tea set my mother played with when she was a little girl.

The Teddy Bear would be 50 had it not been for my brother, but the memories survive ...
as do my father, his Half Hunter watch and the Parker 51 pen and pencil set from the same year and which I still use.

'Mickey The Monkey' hangs from my bedpost. I've had him since I was 3 years old and I would never part with him, no matter how old I am. .
P.S. Sorry if I've done anything wrong (first one!).

Re: Competition #45 - My Most Treasured Possession
The competition is now closed and it's time for the judging!
Bazzasmeg - A very nicely arranged image, not a thing out of place. Colours are good and this picture would grace any catalogue. Lovely entry and clearly something that can be chersihed as a heirloom.
Walter - Some thought has gone into this and we have the background image and the cherished items that bond the whole together. The use of imagination has led to the inspiration for this shot.
Nic - Welcome to competitions and you got it right! I can empathise with this - I still have the small stuffed dog that I had as a small child. Thank you for sharing your treasured possession with this warm, calm picture.
Thanks to you all for sharing something. A winner has to be chosen though, and it's a tough choice. However, I'm going to go with Walter as my winner because of the way he has managed to convey to us the story of the items actually within the image. Even without the explanatory notes we could have got the idea of what he was presenting us with.
So well done Walter and well done to our runners up!
Please start another competition as usual, but this time may I suggest a three week deadline to give people more chance to get involved.

Thanks John; Bazzasmeg and Nic. The background was a photo, scanned, degraded a little and printed onto A4 copier paper and the whole thing taken on a compact lit by a small under kitchen cabinet strip light. The next competition theme to follow. Regards
