Competition # 6 : Bridges
Hello Everyone,
Hope you all had, and are still enjoying a Merry Christmas.
And so to the subject of the next Competition.
The winning picture I submitted to the last one was earmarked for any one of two subjects should they come up, the first one being of Night Photography, so as a subject for a competition I cannot now take part in then I may as well go for the other one.....
And so we have for forum competition number 6 : BRIDGES ( or just ' A Bridge' if you like.)
So plenty of subject matter to go at and look forwards to seeing the entries. Closing date to be midnight on January 9th 2008.
Good Luck and a Happy New Year.
Keith.

Re: Competition # 6 : Bridges
Hi Again,
Well thank you to everyone who entered.
As I am not a competition judge I will resist the urge to comment on every entry individually.
But as one visiting judge said recently, I will try to make a decision based on the following questions...
Do I like it?
Do I wish i had taken it?
and would I put it on my wall at home?
With this in mind, and possibly influenced by the subject as much as the photograph itself, ( I do like a good bridge ), I am pleased to announce that the winner of the competition is..
Steve unsworth.
Thanks again to everyone who took part in the competition and who looked in and congratulations to Steve.
Over to you for the next one.
Keith.

Re: Competition # 6 : Bridges
Thanks Keith.
As I've said, the bridge is well worth a visit, very, very dramatic - the town of Millau is very quiet these days now that all the motorway traffic doesn't have to crawl though it.
The Tarn gorge is near by and is a fantastic drive. The scenery is truly breathtaking.
I'll think of a subject and post a message tomorrow.
