As we approach winter and may have our photography restricted by the winter weather we ask ourselves what subjects can we photograph if we can’t get outside. John Riley will show us how to make the best of photographing items that we may have never considered. We are surrounded by items of beauty but can find photographing them a challenge. So the evening chance to learn a little more.

At the moment the plan is to do a practical demonstration on how to make quick, effective small product and small item shots. There will no doubt be lots of techniques and tips along the way, so hopefully something in there for everyone!

I will also be bringing along some interesting lenses to look at, and we might as well use them as the subjects for the demo as well.

A great night. It was good to see how much setup was required without being complicated. I will certainly have a go and see what can be achieved. This period of the year is a great time time to try these things out. It also felt like a real club night where everyone got involved which led to some good chats..
