Edit My Image - Salford

Post by KEASLA »

I took this Image months ago and I have only just got round to looking at them.

There is a few dust spots and one very big one (that has now gone).

I have upload the full size JPG and RAW file so you can get the best results, I will upload my edit in a few days.

Image

The JPG File (Click Me) (7.75MB)

The RAW file (Click Me) (23.79MB)

Taken on a 7D with a sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6
Setting used f22, ISO 100, 1/6 sec

Nicely done Gerry. You've brought out the detail in the sky and enhanced the lighting, giving it a warmer feel. Which package did you use to tone map the image - it still appears quite natural and not overdone.

Jarred, good idea uploading the original raw file and well done for correctly labelling this Salford. The arguments I get into.....
Gerry, I like that effect.

hells teeth, I love your shots of 'downtheroad'

I liked the way the light from the water was reflected on the building and the bridge but I also wanted to see more texture and the cafe

so dust spots out with healing brush
cropped to get shut of most of the whatever it is in bottom corner

using that image

did a colour HDR effect and put that as a layer over with blending mode on darken

then did a mono HDR effect, misted jot ust the bridge and cafe side
and popped that over with blending mode on luminosity - opacity 90%
