Hi,
The judge for this has now been sorted and it is Nick Hilton, who we have seen at the club a couple of time recently, last time judging our sports competition.
So the closing date for entries is June 4th 2015.
Five images each on this one too.
give them to me at at the club or email them to the usual address compsec.adaps@gmail.com.
Cheers,
keith.

Re: Thu 11th June 2015 - Set Subject: Abstract
Hi,
Nick Hilton, the judge for this competition has sent me the folowing guidlines to outline what he will be looking for when he judges...
"abstract pictures"
relating to or denoting art that does not attempt to represent external reality, but rather seeks to achieve its effect using shapes, colours, and textures.
or...
Abstract photography, sometimes called non-objective, experimental, conceptual or concrete photography, is a means of depicting a visual image that does not have an immediate association with the object world and that has been created through the use of photographic equipment, processes or materials. An abstract photograph may isolate a fragment of a natural scene in order to remove its inherent context from the viewer, it may be purposely staged to create a seemingly unreal appearance from real objects, or it may involve the use of color, light, shadow, texture, shape and/or form to convey a feeling, sensation or impression. The image may be produced using traditional photographic equipment like a camera, darkroom or computer, or it may be created without using a camera by directly manipulating film, paper or other photographic media, including digital presentations.
so there we go, enjoy interpretating this and the closing date is now sunday at midnight....
Cheers,
Keith.

Thank you to everyone for entering, and congratulations to Ian Yarwood for scoring the maximum 20 points and tying in first place.

Hello from Turkey!
Just had a butchers in the gallery - some great images!
Particularly loved Tracey's balloon interior - looked like a winner to me, but then the winner hasn't been posted yet for me to compare.
Love mikes' pipes shot and Gerry's stuff too. A high standard over-all.
That Nick is an excellent judge (and photographer) I think.
See ya'll soon!
Andy.

Just had a look at your shot Keith - it's awesome! Photoshop trickery that's been well deployed!
I'll try my best to gets some good shots in, but seeing as I'm currently sat right next to the pool bar, the motivation is low
Andy.
