Thursday 23 July - Castlefields, Manchester - external event

Post by melbarnes »

ADAPS is holding an external event at Castlefields on 23 July. There are plenty of buildings, bridges, canal scenes to photograph, and we will also be accompanied by two models, Pippa and Simon. We have to limit the numbers to 12 members (that's 6 members to a model) in addition to the leaders of the two groups (Gill and Mel). A form will be put on the wall in ADAPS next week for you to add your name to if you wish to attend.

We will meet at Duke's Bar (8 Castle Street, Castlefield, Manchester M3 4LZ) at 7:30 pm.

We will spend about up to 30 minutes with one model then the models will swap over to the other group, so that each group gets the chance to photograph both models in each location. There will be a nominal charge of £5 per member to cover the costs of the models.

There is parking space in the general area around Castlefields, and adjacent to the Science and Industry Museum. Note: on-street parking is expensive, but is cheaper in most places after 7pm.

It would be a good idea to bring your flash guns for the models, and your tripods for the buildings, etc.

Just to clarify, the list of 12 names is for those who want to photograph the models. They need to pay the £5 each towards model costs.

Everyone else can come along and do whatever other photography they like, architecture, etc., at no charge. You do get good company and free advice and help though!

If some don't want to travel then the clubrooms will also be open for laid-back coffee/tea and chat.
Best regards

For those who want to attend the clubrooms rather than the location shoot, Len Hudson will be demonstrating stitching software.
