Hi,

Well sorry to bring up an old thread, but the Canon 550D has arrived (not 600D) and spec is hot on the heals of the 7D for less money

For video fans, it has a socket for an external microphone and :
- "You can also shoot high speed 50/60fps movies at 720P for when the action is really fast."

The price does look good.

just for reference philip

cex (computer exchange) at manchester piccadilly approch has the canon 50D & 24-105L f4 lense at £595 each, the 70-200L f4 is £350 too

I have the 5D MKII with the 24-105L and its a fantastic camera, i have been astounded at the images it produces.
