For Canon Users

Post by John »

9th December, Digital SLR User and Canon are holding a gathering of Canon users at their UK headquarters in Reigate, Surrey. All camera clubs are being offered four places of the 140 seats available. I have registered ADAPS to give you a chance to visit this free event. There will be a talk by a professional photographer, a competition on the night and a chance to meet the Canon people and handle all the latest Canon equipment. Plus of course a chance to meet a lot of like minded photographers. More details to follow as we get them in.

Assuming we do get our allocation of seats, please indicate here if you would like to go. If more than four people want to go, then we'll have to draw lots.
Best regards

I would be interested please John [if all four ticket holders were willing to travel together and share costs]

Anyone else interested in this idea?

Hi, All Canon Users,

I could be tempted, bearing in mind it's a round trip just short of 500 miles, what logistics did you have in mind?

I have written to Canon asking them if it would not be possible to duplicate this event somewhere around the 53 parallel for all the obvious reasons. Canon UK are usually very responsive when I have contacted them before, but as yet I have received no reply. They held a superb event a few years ago at the Old Trafford football ground and I don't see any reason why this could not be repeated. Needless to say I will pursue this matter and keep you informed of any developments.

Best regards,

Tom.

John when will you allocate these tickets please?
I only ask so that firm arrangements can be made sooner rather than later bearing in mind the distance/cost of travel involved.

Thank you
Pauline

We have four takers, so unless anyone else comes forward by tomorrow (Tuesday) midnight then it's settled. That's allowed seven days for replies, which should be fair to all.
Best regards
