HUNGER magazine from Rankin

Post by Paul Jones »

I've just bought the launch issue of "HUNGER" - a new fashion / photography / lifestyle magazine produced by the photographer Rankin.

It's on sale for £4.00 at WH Smiths.

It's a sizeable and high quality publication - over 500 pages of solid content (not littered with adverts). Great value for money.

There's some stunning photography, almost all of it from Rankin himself.

Mrs H has just bought me one from Sainsburys in Westhoughton (I can't believe it either, a Sainsburys in Westhoughton).
There are two different covers, one with 'him in Trainspotting' (Rhys Ifans was not in trainspotting dear) and 'another one with some bird on it' (not a clue who this one is, but I'll find out).

They are near the newspapers in case anyone needs to know.

Thanks Paul..Pretty impressive link. Wish all my googling was so easy;

Sky grew up around family friend Michael Jackson, stating in an interview: "We just became friends with him. When I was born, I was raised around him, I always saw him. I had holidays with him and stuff like that."

Says it all really.....

But let's not take away anything from the magazine. She is a pretty girl, and I'm sure its a terrific read... (Now Westhoughton or Leigh, for a Sainbury's) Choices, choices...
Regards

Just started to look through this. The photos are great and the wording too. I don't know who a lot of the people are, and the wording doesn't assume you so. What a corker of a magazine (is it a magazine?).

Didn't manage to flip all the way through it in one go, so it will take a couple of sittings.

I tried to buy one of these but so far I had had no success :-[ Sainsburys (Westhoughton) have sent back all of their remaining copies as they didn't sell enough and Tesco at Middlebrook haven't even stocked it.

If anyone knows of a stockist locally please post the details, thank you :-d

Pauline,

The best paper shop for photography magazines is the one in Westhoughton main street, next door to the carpet shop. they always seam to stock every one there is.

If Mrs H is wandering past there tomorrow, then I'll ask her to stick her head in for you..

Good luck.

Pauline, I went in there yesterday and they only had one that they had ordered in for someone. They said if you ask, they will be able to get you one no problem.
