So, as an unashamed laggard, up until yesterday I have been very happily using a 17" CRT monitor for all my photo editing. Unfortunately it signalled that it was on its last legs on Friday night so meant I had to find a replacement.
After much Googling and reading reviews I bought a Dell U2412M 24" LED IPS HD Monitor (1920 x 1200) (£208 from Scan).

The size and picture quality of the new 24" screen compared to my old 17" is incredible. If anyone is looking for a new screen I'd recommend you take a look at Dell. I'm very impressed.
