Video Software

Post by Tracey McGovern »

Hi - I need help......

I sometimes record video on my little compact camera, I then want to upload it into YouTube so I can share it with my friends via Facebook. I don't have a fancy smart phone, hence using my camera to record.

Sometimes I want to cut the video's down into smaller videos so am looking for some (idiot proof) software that a 3 year old could use - I'm quite techno-phobic, it's got to be simple to use.

Also, the videos I have so far uploaded to YouTube are usually about 3 or 4 minutes long, yet can take about 2 hours to upload, then up to another hour to publish - this can't be right. Does anyone know how to speed up the process?

The files are being recorded as MP4.

Is there any software that can cover what I've mentioned here, if so, is it cheap or better still FREE :-d

Thank you for any help, anyone can give.

You'll hopefully get some suggestions.

The one I've used to make some quick video edits is AVIDEMUX.

You can download it for free here - http://avidemux.sourceforge.net/

You can use Photoshop to edit videos. The video of me playing the piano on the cruise was 2 videos joined together in Photoshop, and you can split them too - see:
