Thu 10 Dec 2015 - John & Mel

Post by John »

In the absence of Brett Harkness, who will be with us as soon as he can in the New Year, our substitute speakers will be me and Mel Barnes.

I'll be talking about lenses and answering such intruiging questions as when is a RAW file not so RAW after all? I'll also show you how lens reviews are undertaken by magazines.

Mel will be showing you his nude calendar shoot and has promised us that it's the models who are nude. His story of how it's all done should be an interesting one indeed.

This is our last formal presentation this year, next week is a social evening, so do pop along and join in that warm ADAPS feeling!
Best regards

John

Sorry Gentlemen, but I will miss this one due to another Christmas engagement. I hope it goes well for you - interesting subjects being discussed,

Janice.

Thanks Janice, I think it went well - it was a project that finished up nothing like what it was intended at the outset. The calendar was supposed to be risque, but it turned out to be very toned down, and a failure in my opinion, due to certain people meddling and changing horses mid-stream. Very disappointing!

You'll never guess what, I've been asked to do a calendar for charity for 2017. Mel your talk on Thursday couldn't have come at a better time. It has given me some extremely useful timely information which I will use for this calendar.

It's going to be a Calendar Girl type of calendar but with middle aged blokes - I'm really looking forward to pulling this together and hope it is successful and raises a lot of money in due course.

So thanks Mel for the talk.

You're welcome, Tracey. Hope you don't get as many Divas as I did. (Male and female!!).

I like your turn of phase " I am really looking forward to pulling this together and hope it is successful" should have been more thought out before typing, due to the subject matter.
Have a great time Tracey
