Emotion ...

Post by Walter Brooks »

... they say is when your heart beats faster.

It's been a while, but I sent a couple of slide films off recently and had a sense of excitement not felt for some time (with my photography) when the package came through the post, especially when I wasn't sure of what they were of ... some will be mounted and submitted for the monthlies

Know what you mean, I still get the same thrill when I take a film out of the developing tank. A simple person.

Us digital users get the same feeling when that delivery of shots comes through the post even though we've spent time looking at them on a screen theres nothing like seeing it in print format.

Very true, I had a photo delivered the other day that looked amazing and bright on screen and when it was printed had a very disappointing green tinge. Since the other two images were spot on the screen representation I don't really know what went on, I guess it was some processing done when they were transmitted over the internet. Go figure.
