Or have I got a cold coming on after getting wet through last night walking part way home in the snow from our 'After Xmas Dinner...

Re: BOATS IN NEED OF CRITIQUE
Gerry - I like the contrasty and saturated colours and the dark brooding sky. But - there is always a but - I feel the left hand side needs cropping to just keep the whole of the anchor chain in view. Next - tone down or clone the sunlit house in the background on the left hand side. Next to last - ...

Re: message to my sternist darkroom critics
Mark - Don't be too over the top with Grade 5 or you may have great Blacks ('D'Max) and pristine whites but no greys. You may still need our collective critisisms. One thought - Ilford changed their under-lens filters some years ago to suit their new multigrade papers and the old filter sets could b...

Pammie - Do you want only recent wet darkroom prints or will you accept prints that were processed two or three or more years ago?

Re: Starting Out
Hi Stu - A 'must have' for each of your lens is a Ultra Violet (UV) filter - Cuts down on haze but even more important they are an excellent protection for the front element of your lens which can easily get damaged and/or scratched. They do'nt affect the exposure and are much cheaper to replace tha...

Re: Competition #48 - "A Little Bit Mechanical"

Eight entries and all are of a nostalgic theme - probably not intentionally - even the updated Harley Davidson of Andrews. The histories of each one can go back well over fifty years. Andrew - The Road Ki...
