Will have to come o...

Re: Face of Wigan

Re: 'On the Beach' - FEEL FREE TO COMMENT

I wonder when a judge looks at a photo whether they consider the circumstances under which the image was captured and the degree of skill involved, or are they purely judging the photo in front of them? Well the day Tom and myself went to the workshop, they said that you shouldn't mark a picture hi...

RPS digital image exhibition

Myself and Ian went to this today at Chester zoo. We met Tom and Sue Shaw, and later Mathew and his good lady wife. Re: For any Nikon owners in the club

Paul asks: is there any actual difference in taking photographs on a Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Olympus, Fuji, etc? Discuss... :D Well... whilst different cameras may appeal to different people for aesthetic reasons, ease of use, etc I don't think it does matter much. To me a camera is simply a box that ...

Re: Negative Space

My pic of the model earlier in this thread was taken like that in camera, it is not cropped afterwards. So I made a conscious decision to present the model that way, it was not an afterthought. In fact, I find I quite often use this style "naturally". Here is a shot I took last week in Liv...

Re: Speedway

For a first attempt these are pretty good. I tried photographing racing trucks last year, they are a lot bigger and that was difficult enough.
Well done!
