Re: LOOKING FOR .........

Why don’t you use the view finder as my omd has an electronic one and is better than a dslr because if you alter any settings you can see what it looks like before taking the shot. Which camera do you have.

Re: Green silver lines moth

You know what would happen with a tighter crop, I would get "it's too tight I want to see the moth in its natural habitat". Lol. I'll post another offering later. Thanks Paul and Andy.

Re: LANDSCAPE TRIPOD RECOMMENDATIONS

I have used a 055 for the past 28 years doing landscape and nature. I have subjected it to a lot of hard use and still works well. It's heavy but that is where the stability come in.

Re: Black and White Going Strong

If you want to try black and white photography and you are having problems finding what will work, use a digital camera so it captures raw and jpeg and have the jpeg set to b&w, so now keep the ones you like. Someone said "take a picture of a man in colour and you see the colour of his shir...

Film photographer

If you like black and white lowfi photography have a look at this Italian photographer. He uses a tlr and only uses one Aperture and speed combination and prints them in a makeshift darkroom in his bathroom. Not to everybody's taste but I like the surrealist quality. His name is Giacomo Brunelli. ht...

Re: i PHONES & i PADS

There is no difference if you shoot with a dslr a film camera iPad or iPhone all they do is record an image. What you do with it after is up to the photographer. Apps are just software that let's you alter the image just like Photoshop or Lightroom with the added use of filters like the ones from Ni...

Re: Camera from NASA's moon missions sold at auction

That just goes to show you can not put a good camera down. My main camera is the Hasselblad 500cm which is the type that first went to the moon, actually it was the 500c but the only difference is that the 500cm has a user replaceable focusing screen. Nasa says if anyone wants the moon camera they c...
