Not wishing to be pedantic (although technically I do quite enjoy being pedantic!) WW1 isn't actually Victorian. It isn't even Edwardian as the Edwardian era is usually taken to end with the start of the war (don't you love Wikipedia?). On the other hand why let that get in the way of a bit of dress...
