Not wanting to blow your own trumpet? If it was me I'd be atop the Hilton Hotel in manchester with the biggest, widest, loudest megaphone announcing it to the world . Well deserved and many congratulations.
Superb, just perfect. My favourite is the lower one - good use of the foreground rocks to lead the eye into the scene and directly to the lighthouse which is well separated from the sky. Wonderful colours - competition winners for certain (club and salon).
Walter has informed me that inside the large Lowepro bag he bought was a Gimbal Head and two lens plates of mine which I stupidly didn't unpack to be auctioned off last night. He's kindly offered to meet me next week at ADAPS and return it whereupon I would ask John to announce that it is for sale w...
Phil, Can I remind you of a much earlier post when you were looking for some film and possibly to do some of your own developing, etc.. I still have the film and kit intending to sell it on ADAPS auction night with 50% going to club funds - but if you want it before your trip make me an offer - 50% ...

Am I just over suspicious in thinking that Jessops decided to go into liquidation immediately after the busiest shopping time of the year, Xmas? I mean all of those unfulfilled orders and unusable gift cards that they have pocketed large amounts of peoples hard earned cash from - a report on another...
Just to update my little set-up with the Fuji X-Series, another reason or two why I moved over from my very large and heavy Nikon kit was the fact that a number of manufacturers have indicated their intention to produce products for the Fuji X series. I've recently bought into two of these and I'm k...
As a long-time Canon and latterly Nikon DSLR user, mixed in with a few 6x7 film cameras, I have recently disposed of my complete Nikon kit and moved entirely over to the Fuji X-Series of mirror-less cameras. Why did I take such drastic action? Purely and simply weight - not my weight but that of the...
Having recently cleared out all of my Nikon kit I still have left two books - a) Nikon D7000 From Snapshots to Great Shots - John Batdorff, and b) The Nikon Creative Lighting System - Mike Hagen, Having also completed my GCE 'A' level course I also have a complete 35mm and 120 B&W developing kit lef...
