Re: Thursday 18th October - Battle with Wigan
For the short-sighted (Dave), those less experienced in life like the youngest (Keasla), and for those who think we'd act as gentlemen when food is on the agenda (Tracey), I'll put it simply - FORM AN ORDERLY QUEUE BEHIND ME!

Re: my good news
Many, many congratulations Peter,
Winning the Best in Class with the photo of Melissa is well justified and, if I'm being honest, IMHO it should have won the September 2012 monthly comp here at ADAPS - just goes to show that judging is very personal and very subjective.
Good news,
Barry

Re: 13th September 2012 - Out of Africa
Tracey, If that was indeed your very first presentation talk at ADAPS you should be very proud. You allowed us to share your never-to-be-forgotten experiences in Africa and kept us all well informed re some of the background stories to the images in a very pleasant and entertaining manner. Some of t...

35mm, 120, Instant Film and dev kit for sale
Since completing my 'A' level photography course I have returned to the digital mother ship completely and have some 35mm, 120 roll, and instant (for a MF camera not 5x4, etc) colour and monochrome film for sale, together with a full monochrome developing kit ( dev tank with two rolls, photo thermom...

Re: Developing film
Phil,
After passing my 'AS' photography I now have everything you will need to develop your own B&W film (except the changing bag - a bin liner will do though) - measuring jugs, timers, developing tank, chemicals (fresh), film weights, photo thermometer, spirals, etc. Open to offers .

Re: Old Photo Restoration
Phil, Not meaning to boast but I've done many restorations with some notable success. It's isn't a simple task and consequently firms charge an arm and a leg as it's pure labour - but you'll pay for that knowledge of the restorer plus their labour. It depends on the amount of work that's needed. I a...

Re: How many ...... ?
I don't know if this helps but in the days of film if I shot a roll of 36 exposures I would be happy with 2-4 keepers - i.e. about 8%. But in today's 'snap-flash-thank you ma'am' digital age I would reduce that percentage substantially to nearer 1-2% unless you are very determined and can pre-visual...
