Re: L&CPU ANNUALS

Thanks for the reply John. I take your points. It wasn't my intention to have a go at judges in particular. Your correct to say they do an admiral job. I also see nothing wrong in a club holding a monthly competition between its membership. They are obviously enjoyed by many. They can also be respon...

Re: L&CPU ANNUALS

you have to enter competitions if you want to get better. Sorry Michael, but in my opinion, this statement is complete and utter rubbish, In fact, the truth is. It makes you a sterile photographer, Producing "camera club" images that may appeal to a judge. Who like it or not, posses no pr...

If you have CS5. There is no need to look up Gimp. As photoshop is a superior program. It isnt supplied with instructions. But out there, there are literally hundreds of guide books. Re: Trains

I think it would be good. If when were looking at images for critique. If first the author could tell us a bit about his or her photos, and what they were trying to achieve with it. Then we could be a little more helpful.

In the one above I'm failing to see the photographers exact point of interest.

As an initial reaction. I have have to agree. I certainly wont be paying a monthly subscription. Though I would prefer not to use Elements, looks like Adobe are forcing us to that or the Lightroom route.

Re: New to the club and forum

There are literally hundreds of HDR programs around. Some expensive some are free. The web will carry reviews on most of them. Each user will have his or her own preferences. I think its fair to say, most of the regular users at the club are using Photomatix 4.2. Me included, though I also use Nik H...

Hi Michael, These pictures are a decent effort. I'm glad to welcome another fan to the club. Motorsport is a fast action event, which requires a lot of skill to perfect. Essentially in the panning action of the camera. Not the best of days, light wise you chose here. Though you do get the benefit of...
