Re: SRS Offer to ADAPS Forum Members

I've spoken to Chris from SRS - http://www.srsmicrosystems.co.uk - and he's very happy to extend the offer he has made to Pentax User forum members to all of us here at ADAPS. I've added a link to SRS MicroSystems onto our LINKS page under "Shopping": http://www.adaps.org.uk/links.htm Wel...

Re: Exposure Latitude

Last night on my arrival there was mention of 'grey cards' and I thought it was about white balance, but then realised Tracey was having difficulty with the exposure latitude of a high contrast landscape scene where skies become washed out. Later it occured to me that high speed hdr bracketing migh...

Re: What photo print paper???

I have been using the Epson 255 gsm A4 gloss paper but at £ 24 for a pack of 50 I am beginning to question if this is the right way to go. Can any one offer an opinion on alternative papers and where to get them from? Have you considered a lab? A 10x8 or 12x8 printed at Costco for about a pound, or...

Re: Backgrounds

.... when it comes to my pictures I never have a clue on how to touch them up or how best to improve them. It's a matter of experimenting with different things. We've all been there. I'm currently in the process of going through all my raw images and reworking many of them as I work on revamping my...

I did just that and here is one of the pictures. http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh139/the_ginja/BillyandElise-600pixelswide.jpg You've captured their personality well. The diffused background helps. One thing you might want to try though is adding a touch more contrast to give it more punch. I ...

Re: Backgrounds

I have come across kits on ebay which have 'Procameras Fotolights' These seem to be good value, but is this a case of buy cheap, buy twice? Possibly. If I was buying new lights for myself I'd personally go for Bowens or Elinchrom. Read through the Lighting Techniques Forum (see my link above) and t...

Re: Backgrounds

I want to take photographs of my children Eventually, I would like to build up my equipment to include lights In the absence of studio lighting, why not take them outside and practice natural light outdoor portraits? Maybe using a touch of fill-in flash if you have a flashgun (speedlight). You can ...
