Re: HDR, low light music gig, hand held?

Phil, I wasnt making comments on your photograph. I think its superb. Conveying the atmosphere and energy of a gig. I know only to well the conditions and challenges that brings. I'm not surprised the bands manager has accepted them. I was merely, trying to discuss the rudiments of the Hdr software....

Re: HDR, low light music gig, hand held?

I think you have given the software a real challenge here Phil. We have a combination of three similar but very different images. In the merged compliation. I only really see image 1, in the outcome. Except for were the ghousting has in my opinion messed the image up. I love band photography. can yo...

Yes..Everthing Tracey Said... lol As always Gerry, spot on. I learned some good tips. Never thought of blending photomatix and nik vivesa images together. Re: toned or b&w please help

Great image Mark. I prefer the B+W. I like the more natural approach. But would add a little more light to the puddle area. Looks to me like theres a bit of cloud missing to the left, of the left hand tree.

Re: TRIPOD WANTED

In my experience. The words Tripod, Carbon and Cheap. Arnt used in the same sentence very often. If ever at all. But as your in Bolton. You could have a look at the selections at fotosense.

Re: Thursday 18th October - Battle with Wigan

A good evenings entertainment all round.. Nice to see our collegues from Wigan attend. Even if they were a little premature with their overconfidences. Congratulations to Sue and Joan for guiding us to a well deserved victory.

Re: Thursday 20th September - Chris Ceaser

What an interesting night. From an all round "Good Bloke". One of the better turns to attend the club. Having never attempted landscape photography. He certainly has passed on the inspiration to get out there and give it a go. Just not sure I have the right alarm clock..

Re: Advice on selling images

Phil..

amateur is from the latin "amator", or "lover".

If you are doing photography for love, then you are an amateur. If you are pursuing it for financial gain you are a professional.

If you are both, does that make you a "Professional Lover" ?
