Once more a subject we have literally 100's to choose from. I've selected somewhere many people may not have been Monmouth, well worth a visit in fine weather, & the monument "Charles Stewart Rolls"

Hi Gordon
It was my first time in Kent as it's a goodly run from Southport, but that stretch of coastline is very photogenic & for us northerners, different.
Regards Eric.

Re: Forum Competition #148 - Machines
I thought my rusty engine would be confusing, obviously the judge has never been to Deal in Kent, if you walk along the foreshore there are a number of examples in varying state of decay, with warning signs to keep clear, they are used to pull the fishing boats up onto the steep shingle beach d17.jp...

Re: Forum Competition #148 - Machines
I have literally 100's of run of the mill pictures of machinery, so I thought I would go off the wall for my entry. This engine is in daily use would you believe? full marks for identifying its current use.

Re: Forum competition #145 - Stormy Weather
We don't tend to go out much when the weather is stormy. However, when we lived aboard in the Med' we didn't have any choice. This picture was taken at the lowest point of our sailing life when we were on the brink of losing the yacht. Although in harbour, there was a force 10 gale & the sea out...

Re: Cheap ink cartridges with quality ink....
Hi Mel Just seen this post. I bought a Canon MX925 last year as a replacement for my dedicated Canon Pixma 4500, which had unfortunately become redundant only because the original software wouldn't load on my new PC. (Canon disclaimed any responsibility for the situation as usual). I bought the 925 ...

Re: Forum Competition #141 A New Year - New Life.
I did promise to post a link to the AV show our pictures came from, it's a mediafire download 30MB, some gory stuff included. It's called "Winter to Spring in the Dales". Unfortunately I didn't fix the aspect ratio when I uploaded it, so it sits in a black box. https://www.mediafire.com/fo...

Re: Forum Competition #141 A New Year - New Life.
When we lived in Wensleydale we attended 3 Churches in rotation, all had much support from the farming community. We missed the first lambing season but got permission to come & help & of course take pictures of the second. Between us we had around 50 pictures, some too gory to show on here ...

From a shortlist of 12, to a shorter list of two, I've chosen this one which shows a council worker on Sunderland beach cutting up driftwood into bite sized chunks for disposal.

I took this one at a Chinese restaurant in the Lowry Outlet Mall, It was a family meal & shows two of my Grandaughters Corrin & Fedra tucking in. In the unlikely event that I win I may not be around to select the next subject as I will be undergoing major surgery Wednesday. If I win & t...
