Re: Forum Competition#125 'Bridges'
Last year Mel and I visited Granada - this shot was taken in the Arab quarter. After strolling in the sunshine we had a lovely al fresco meal. Oh to be in the sunshine again!

Re: Forum Competition #122 - "A Blast From The Past"
This photo was taken on a tour of the National Parks in the USA last July. The geyser is "Old Faithful", which is probably the most famous geyser in the world and is found in Yellowstone National Park. It was named by the members of the Washburn Expedition of 1870 because it is the most fr...

Re: Forum Competitions #117 Rocky shorelines
This was taken on a recent holiday in the late afternoon. There were lots of beautiful rock formations around this man made lake.

Re: Forum Competition #115: SONG TITLES
Phillip - I didn't think of that - I need make-up to cover my marks up! Thanks for the birthday wish.
Eric - shame you changed your mind! It was difficult to choose between "All out of love" and "Jump" - it was a close call.

Re: Forum Competition #115: SONG TITLES
Sorry folks - I typed the comments in separate files each day, and left the ones from page 2 out of the master file by mistake. Here they are: John: "We Three (fun guys!)" - a good interpretation of the song title. Super contrasting colours - I like it. Keith: "Big Brother" - ano...

Re: Forum Competition #115: SONG TITLES
Hi to all forum competition entrants, Thank you all for your entries in this week's competition. Because I have little knowledge (currently!) about photography, I am judging this competition on three things; immediate impact, composition, and interpretation of the song title. Here are my comments on...

Forum Competition #115: SONG TITLES
Hi Everyone, First of all thanks to Phil for choosing my photo. As a beginner it really encourages me to enter more competitions. The next competition subject is 'Song Titles.' Please name your song and select a photograph which reflects the title or lyrics of the song. The closing date is midnight ...

Re: Forum Competition #114 - Festivals
I took this shot whilst on holiday in Alhama de Granada, Andalucia in May; it is an annual festival where the streets are strewn with greenery and about 30 men bear the consecrated host through the town, followed by a solemn procession supported by a band. This is a deeply religious festival and ent...

Re: Forum Competition #113 - The Seven Virtues
I came across this father and son in Grenada. They were steadfastly removing the red mace covering from nutmegs to eke out a living, so I guess it puts this photograph into the "Diligence" category.
