Monthly Competition - Monochrome

We've just been doing our monochrome printing for the december monthly - don't forget the handing-in is next week. December always catches us out as Christmas makes it such a short month. Back to monochrome - it's nice to see some again. With colour being so easy now the humble black and white print...

Onre problem always was that the price of 220 film was more than double that of 120, so apart from not having top change films so often there was a price penalty.

I had a Mamiya 6 once, with all three lenses, and it is a superb camera.

Many thanks for that Harry. It was a great evening and now Jim and Glenys have carried that one off with panache, there's nothing they can't do!

My goodness, there's a question. To explain to those who don't know, 120 film offers 12 6x6cm exposures (and other variants, but let's not complicate it) and has a paper backing all through. 220 film only has the paper backing at the start and end of the film, so on the same spool there is now room ...

I judged a "Creative" competition last night and there were 18 slides entered. The interesting thing is that all of them had been made into slides from digital files. If they had been digitally projected instead, then there would have been no issues with dust spots, slides "popping&qu...

Welcome to the forum! I have used all three of the cameras you mention, so here goes. If you want everything built in to the camera, the Pentax has that. A superb design with very high quality optics, but film inserts as opposed to interchangeable backs. This was my final choice on ergonomic grounds...

Fast Films

Anyone remember using fast films? They had a character all of their own, fine grain not being one of them. Royal X Pan in 120 size only was 1250 ASA. Kodak High Speed Recording Film 2475 was something between 1000 and 64,000 ASA depending on what you did with it. I think for the latter you processed...

We have an opened pack of DVD -R discs that we don't need. We discovered that we needed +R.

First person to lay claim to the -R discs can have them!
