Re: Summer Syllabus 2008

A few years ago Myra demonstrated how to bake scones. I think she should do that again. Lots and lots of scones. With 73 members that should be around 146 scones.... Seriously, I shall probably put a night in for members to have their own 10 minute slots to do whatever they wish with. It's an opport...

Re: Image Posting

Yes I know - I changed it after I saw your image. By all means re-post it at 800 wide and it should now be OK.

We're still experimenting with image width, so please note the board has been re-set to accept images up to 800 pixels wide.

Hopefully this will be OK as some members thought 600 was a bit too small.

Re: Competition # 7 - The Seaside

Thanks for that Steve. Another excellent selection of images, many thanks to all who entered and congratulations to our winner Des! It looks to me as though we would be OK with 800 pixels wide. We're not trying to restrict images because of bandwidth but to avoid cut-off on some browsers. By all mea...

Pentax K20D

Now at last we can see where the tie up with Samsung was as the new K20D has a Samsung-manufactured 14.6MP CMOS sensor. Other added features include a synch socket for external flash, Live View with AF and exposure metering, 14 bit processing, improves dust removal, pixel mapping, dust spot mapping ...

60 Members and counting!

The club has 73 paid up members, so I'm delighted to see that the forum now has 60 members. That's a fantastic percentage, so many thanks to all for joining in.

The forum is where all club news is likely to break first, so this is the place to be!

Re: Pentax A series cameras and lenses

Well I've just about managed to gather together enough A series stuff to start on the article, but the prices have shot through the roof. It's because the A series and later pentax lenses have electrical contacts on the K mount. It beomes the Ka mount and this means that it is fully compatible with ...

GE Cameras

I see GE cameras are about to enter the European market. 10MP, smile detection, blink detection and to follow the second batch will feature GPS location so we can tag our images and know where we took them. And all I wanted was a nice portrait of the cat... This is all incredible technology....
