Re: Thur 7th July - Brian Law – Realising your photographic potential

Re: Which Image?
I like both but my preference is number 1. Number 2 is more dynamic but there is too much space around the house for me. I would have cropped the sides.

Re: Moroccan wall detail
Thanks for your comments. Good question Paul. I was waiting for our tour party to gather in a small town on the edge of the desert. It was dusty and all of the buildings were variations of orange and brown - not a pretty place!!!.I shot a few general shots and then picked out some details. I spotted...

Re: Thu 26 May 2016 - Maintenance Night 2
I am very sorry that I didn't make it last night - a series of unexpected crises.
I plan to be available next week. If things are happening during the week I can be available some evenings.

Re: for critique !
I really like the engineer image. The colours are just right and the lighting is lovely. The expression of concentration on his face makes the image for me and I like the framing and the leading lines. I don't mind that I can't see his hands because I probably wouldn't understand what it was if I co...

Re: Washday
Nice image with good colours and some nice repeating patterns. It gives a good sense of place. I like spotting details like this but I always find it difficult to know where to crop. The crop line at the top works well along the window frames but I am not keen on the part doors at the bottom. I woul...

I couldn't resist.
A £1million pound portrait has to be of a superstar....
.....Mr Potatohead!!!!!
(I expect that wasn't what you meant by enhancements )

Cranes at sunset in harbour. This is a bit off my usual pictures and I would be grateful for comments. I have adjusted the levels to try and get a very dark silhouette and rely on the detail in the metal work. I think there is some fringing around the fine detail but I am not sure how to lessen it -...
