Re: Comp #56 - Churches
Boulge Church, near Woodbridge in Suffolk. This is the shot that the locals said we would not get as the weather was foul. However, patience and enduring the cold and rain were rewarded by five minutes of sun that broke through the clouds and illuminated the church. I still use this as the desktop image on my main PC.
Best regards

St Cwyfan's Church (the church in the sea)
St Cwyfan's Church is known as 'The Church in the Sea'.
It is to be found on a small tidal island called Cribinau located off the west coast of Anglesey and close to the village of Aberffraw. Also known as Llangwyfan the church can be reached on foot at low tide. Old maps show the church standing on the mainland of Anglesey but erosion by the sea of the boulder clay cliffs has since separated the church from the mainland.

Re: Comp #56 - Churches
Well, here I am jumping in with both feet!
This photo was taken at my first encounter with ADAPS at Atherton Parish church a couple of weeks ago.
Taken with a compact Sony Cybershot W170 and I think this was one using a tripod that Sue very kindly let me use.

Re: Comp #56 - Churches
What a great set of photos, thanks to all who entered. And now the results (sorry that they are a bit late)
Tracey: A good colourful shot, sharp and with good verticals, nicely composed.
Pauline: A sharp picture with good colours, it might benefit from correcting the verticals. At the moment it is leaning backwords.
John: A lovely warm evening shot, which is more than I was waiting for the sun to come out.
Paul: A nice dramatic low view point with natural greens. good controle of DOF.
Des: An unusual and interisting building enhanced by the vivid colour.
Ian: A sharp and well exposed photo. The slight tilt could do with correcting.
Pammie: The only detail shot in the set, and it is full of rich detail. Should the top of the photo be cropped?
Myra: An impressive telephoto shot, only marred by the cables.
Cookie: Another unusual shaped building, good control of colour and detail.
Bazzasmeg: Excellent compisition and a great sence of style. Maybe the HDR is a little strong.
Mancunian61: Colour and detail well held. Could be improved by straightening a little. An impressive introduction.
Len: Very nice colour, lots of detail. The hedge forms a bit of a barrier.
And now to the winners. In reverse order
3rd Cookie
2nd Tracey

Well done all and it's over to Des for the next competition

Thanks Sue.
I was`nt expecting this to happen, it`s a problem what to choose but the weather is great and all the gardens are looking lovely.
I have decided that the next comp No 57 will be - GARDENS - large or small / private or public / flower beds/ watering cans / tools /wheelbarrows /
greenhouse`s / sheds -anything to do with gardens, it`s up to you .
Closing date will be midnight 17th July 2010.
Good luck to everone and enjoy.
Cheers Des.
