Hi folks,
Thanks to everyone who entered the SHADOWS comp.
Myra,
A good strong simple image, exposure spot on, the sail and the shadow cast by the sail show up well against the white background.
Gerry,
A good viewpoint has been chosen for this shot, a good lead in by the lines and boards and the shadows cast by the people are just about strong enough.
Gill,
A colourfull image and splitting the image across the diagonal is better than a vertical or horizontal split, would have liked a bit more shadow area but still a well thought out image.
Sue,
A good strong well exposed and framed image, a good pattern as well as a super shadow picture everything caught just right.
Pauline,
Something completely different, a well seen and taken image, just caught the figures in the right place against the white patch of water , well done.
Ianuk50,
A pleasing and well seen image, the shadows are just strong enough to show against the water. exposure hasbeen well handled and very good compositionally.
Des,
A very strong image, exposure spot on showing plenty of detail in the shadow and highlight areas, I like the way the natural light is throwing both strong and subtle shadows across the image.
John,
When taking shots with the sun so strong and low in the sky and behind us. it is always a problem to keep our shadow out of the image, in this case the shadow of the photographer adds to the theme of the image, a well exposed and good strong shadows.
Pammie,
A simple well seen image, a very good pattern picture, well exposed to show detail in the brickwork and ironwork of the gate, the shadows stand out and are strong enough to go with the theme of the comp.

RESULT.
3rd Gerry,
2nd Myra,
1st John,
Well done John, over to you for the next theme.

Thanks again to everyone who entered, I enjoyed looking a commenting on your images,
Bert.
