Forum Competition #118 - Cold and frosty mornings
Forum Competition #118 - Cold and frosty mornings
After the frosty start this morning I have chosen "Cold and frosty mornings" as the theme for this, the 118th competition. Frost patterns, frozen plants, webs or windows, misty fields or watery sunshine, the list is endless and the subjects hopefully plentiful.
Closing date Friday 6th December.
Best regards, Barry

Re: Forum Competition #118 - Cold and frosty mornings
Thanks for taking the time to enter, not that many to choose from but the weather did change several time over the last couple of weeks. Unless you had some in your collection there was not much opportunity to capture an image to match the subject
Janice, Frosty Canal.
This covers most things, the frozen canal, towpath puddles and the grass. The towpath leads you into the picture and one wonders what is around the corner.
Collier15, Yarrow Country Park.
There are a few of these carving in the park. I like the way the fungi has grown from the side of the figure, it almost looks like it should be there. The white grass gives a cold and frosty feeling.
Donna, getting cold feet.
This does look cold; the Canadian Geese look like they are thinking of going back home where the weather is warmer. A busy picture with a good collection of wildlife to see.
Dennis G, Garden Silver Birch.
Snow covered tree and bush, makes me shiver just thinking about it. The sky looks wintery and the sun weak. Just a pity there is not a little more in the foreground.
I think the scoring of the entries has to go with the order they were submitted, so
1st place Janice
2nd Collier15
3rd Donna
4th Dennis
Janice, over to you and thanks again to all who took the time to enter.
Regards, Barry

Yes well done Janice. Sorry I missed this one, but the opportunity to shoot a new image kept getting squeezed out...life intrudes now and again!

Re: Forum Competition #118 - Cold and frosty mornings
I love entering this forum comp - and always surprised if I get into the first three, so am delighted to have been placed first. Thank you. There were only a few entries, however, all very good. Let's see if we can encourage a few more. As Christmas is now knocking heavily on our door, let's try and keep it a little festive. I would like to see some images that depict a Christmas Carol or song - any one that you like - the more inventive, the better! Closing date will be Midnight 20th December. Have fun.
