Forum Competition #188: Its All In The Detail.

Post by Janice Freeman »

I like taking quirky shots of details etc. We often see the big picture but overlook the smaller things in a scene. So a detail shot of anything within a scene that you like or that catches your eye. Details as opposed to macro please! Closing date will be Midnight 28th June.

Here's an example of Sue's supper, the sort of thing I might prepare for her when she's on a late finish. It's all in the detail, absolutely!
Best regards

Taj Mahal detail from the main tomb building. Semi precious stones inlaid into marble.

Well, a disappointing number of entries - obviously not a popular choice of subject! However, many thanks to those who did enter.

John: A nice clear shot and I quite like the angle from which it has been taken. What a lucky lady to be presented with a supper like this! My only criticism is that the Mayo should have been in a dainty dish! ( ;-]

Jojo: A nice choice of subject and not overcrowded with other artistic items. However, It has a slight greenish cast to my I and that destracts from what could be a more colourful scene. Well seen and well taken.

Gordon. A nice piece of decorated marble. Clean shot and the pattern has been balanced well in the shot. A good record shot.

Graham: A sharp shot showing the fine strings and wood grain up very well. I like the mono treatment on this subject, nice highlights showing the shine on the metal and not blown out. Well spotted and taken.

Well it would seem very odd to give 3 places on a limited entry so I will make a choice of a winner and that is ...

Graham Winner.

Well done to the other entrants and once again thanks. Over to you Graham for the next subject choice.
