Re: Competition #43 - 'PRIDE'

Thanks everyone for entering, such a broad spectrum of images to choose from.

Tracey - Good catch lights in the eyes a stunning image beautifully shot, doing something out of the ordinary and left of the middle so to speak takes tremendous strengthened courage, perhaps something that i could not do.

John - People do not appreciate what the older generation did for this country and our freedom, and your story reiterates this. - a very personal record shot.

Andrew - What a beautiful shot!, three little angels eh?

Myra - Great family shot, well composed.

Dick - Good shot of your step daughter, perhaps a tighter crop may serve the image better.

Sue - Nice shot, but perhaps a little dark and a touch under exposed perhaps?

Keith - Good picture, HDR no doubt, original choice of subject matter

Tom - A great use of colour in the Israeli flag, however i feel this detracts from the image slightly, perhaps just toning down the blue and making it a touch softer would still retain the images impact?

Walter - Words so very true, beautifully shot, has a slight desaturated look which i feel complements the subject matter.

Lesley - Nice landscape shot, but unfortunately lacks clarity and is pixelated.

Terry - Good tonal ranges very rip and sharp expertly shot, a good record shot.

Pammie - A spontaneous picture, but unfortunately has excess noise.

Philip - interesting interpretation of pride, and such vivid colours.

Placings .. .

1st Walter
2nd Terry
3rd Tracey

So walter i'll guess we'll be hearing from you soon.

Many thanks to all that have entered, unfortunately i can't award joint places!

Many thanks Mark ... and you were right - slight desaturation for effect. For the record - jpg from a compact; cropped; auto adjustments and destauration ... will post another Topic later today. Regards

Walter
