'Good Enough to Eat' - something to keep you in as the nights draw in,
with the bonus of eating your subject if you trust your cooking!
An image good enough for a magazine or cookery book to illustrate a recipe -
a starter; soup; main meal or dessert.
Not just a competent photograph using good technique to emphasize the subject, but one that uses
accessories/ backgrounds/ cutlery to good effect ... there are plenty of examples out there for inspiration ...
Closing date - midnight of 30th September.
Regards
Walter

"Major Ingredients" is my title, and here are the building blocks of the feast that awaits Sue when she returns home from work tonight. True, at the moment they are slightly under-done but soon....soon....what culinary delights we shall savour!
Best regards

Seeing as there aren't many entries, I thought I'd have a bit of fun. They were very nice!!!

Re: Competition #44 - 'GOOD ENOUGH TO EAT'
Thanks for those that entered, although on Monday I thought it was going to be an easy decision just picking John's entry!
John - liked the contrast between the red and green, although I think some of the bottom peas could have been cropped out; the near diagonal that they create with the potatoes; and the balance that the potatoes give to the frame.
LesleyD - Bright main subject with effective shallow depth of field, although the reds do appear very intense. think that the background could have benefitted from less blank space.
Bazzasmeg - Balanced arrangement of ingredients, although not sure if the positioning of the spoons add anything to the composition. The in focus background competes too much with the foreground, on which there is a shadow cast over it.
Close call for 1st and 2nd, but
1st - John
2nd - LesleyD
3rd - Bazzasmeg
Thanks again and over to you John for #45

Thanks for that Walter, I thought I was going to get away with this one, but very glad that Lesley and bazzasmeg also eat food, even if no-one else does!
