Howard and Suzanne Gregory visited ADAPS a few years ago & gave us an evening on the basics of A-V. Their talk this time will be a "sort-of-follow-on from that - more on the basics of A-V, the importance of structure, and story etc.,ie A-V is NOT just a collection of images (however good) with a bit of music in the background - it is an integrated whole that is greater than the sum of its parts". All will be illustrated by some of their sequences.
Before their visit, they have a special evening at Wilmslow Guild Audio Visual Group on Friday 26 September @ 7:30pm, which might be of interest to ADASP members. See http://www.wilmslowguildav.org.uk/

Re: Thursday 9 October "Wilmslow Guild AV Night"
An excellent presentation was provided tonight - by Howard and Suzanne Gregory of the Wilmslow AV Guild. They told us how to create a "story" then to implement that story with suitable audio and photographs, including how to treat the photos in Photoshop to get various effects. Hence it's not just a matter of throwing a few photos together and putting some backing music on - there's a a concept stage, a planning stage, taking the photos, editing them, and choosing suitable music to complement the visuals. A really good evening, and I learned a lot. Now to put it into practice.....
