Thursday 4th – Battle Ladies vs Gentlemen

This is a chance to see images from the ladies and gentlemen in a competition and judged by a visiting judge.

Like last year this will be an entertaining evening and I am sure we will all have a great time.

The captains for both will be announced shortly. The captains will be asking members for images to make a great night.

More information will be given when available.

As announced at last night's meeting - the captains for the Ladies v Gents competition are myself, for the Ladies and John Riley for the Gents. Each captain will choose what they consider to be the best 20 images from their entry to take part in the battle. We have an external judge coming in to judge the 40 images.

Members may enter up to 5 images, completely open category, and the images are not restricted to new work for this fun competition - anything goes! Members should submit their entries to whoever their captain is by next Thursday 27 September, as John and I will need the week running up to the night, to get the competition set up.

Ladies! Please get as many images to me as you can! We are outnumbered by the Gents, but that doesn't mean we can't win it - let's go for it!

What are the parameters for the digital images, i.e. max size, resolution, etc.?

I can't make it to the club this Thursday but will be there again on the 27th, and I will, if allowed, be rejoining on the that night at the latest. Would that preclude me from submitting a few entries or would that still be acceptable? Don't want to start a 'war'

We'll be very happy if you rejoin Barry. One of the strict rules of the club though is that competitions are members only, so I'd suggest you pop round for a coffee and we sort that out. You could bring your entries at the same time.

If that's agreeable, I'll PM you my address, although you have found your way here before it's been a long time!

PS the rules are up to 5 images.
1600 pixels by 1200 pixels - if a different shape then the image on a black canvas of that size.
