Christmas Wants List

Post by John »

Well magazines do articles "100 Christmas Ideas" and things like that, so why not us, but with a difference.

What is the one photographic item that you would just love Santa to leave for you? Remember, one only!

My choice this year would be a humble second hand lens. The SMC Pentax 250-600mm Reflex Zoom would do very nicely, if one could be found and if around £6000 was going spare.
Best regards

Leica M9.

I'd even be prepared to leave Santa an extra mince pie and glass of sherry if he could oblige.

If the entire Brazillian national ladies football team to come and stand in front of my Bowens 400D lights does not count, then I'd have to say a speedlite would be very nice.

A 16-35mm f2.8l or 85mm f.28l lens would go down well as would a 580 ex2 flashgun

So Paul which one, Remember, one only, item would you choose out of of the Bowens 500 / 500 / 500 studio lighting kit?

And it's not for the sake of a ribboned coat, Or the selfish hope of a season's fame,
But his Captain's hand on his shoulder smote "Play up! play up! and play the game!"

:stupid:

The Bowens 500 / 500 / 500 kit is ONE item.
It is a studio lighting kit containing three 500w/s studio flash heads.
It is available from WarehouseExpress and other retailers for around £1449.00

So can we choose as many items as we want and call it a 'Kit' ? Half a dozen lenses and say it's a lens kit. Yeah, Ok.

:??:

Hmmm, my original comment to Mark about one item only was tongue in cheek (hence the smiley). I'm not sure why you're being so argumentative or defensive.

The Bowens kit is just that - a KIT.

In the same way Lastolite Lumen8 KITS contain 2 or 3 flash heads, Interfit lighting KITS contain 2 or 3 heads, etc.

Blimey Tom, where did you get that pic of Jamie Lee Curtis? Either it is not flattering, or she is past her best.... she should have come to ADAPS for her portrait !!
