ADAPS Year Book 2011-2012

I am now ready to receive your contributions for the next issue, the fourth! The deadline is 31st January 2011 - before then please let me have your best three images. If you let me have them A4 size, or thereabouts, that will be fine. Unsharpened if possible. The specification is:

Three images
Approx A4 in size
300 ppi
sRGB
Preferably unsharpened.

Of these three images I will select two for the book. If you let me have three it means I can choose the ones that blend in best with the rest of the images submitted.

Images can be e-mailed or supplied on memory sticks or CD/DVD.

Let's make the new book the biggest and best ever! Don't forget that all members can submit images, no matter how new or how not-so-new you may be.

Submissions are starting to flow in, but please keep them coming. Old and new members alike are guaranteed a place in this book!

Many thanks for the flurry of submissions over the past couple of days. WE now have quite a few images so it should be the biggest book yet.

I've got a lot on this week, so I can accept submissions up to Friday evening, when I will call a final halt. So this is the last call, after which you will be waiting for next year's edition!

All the e-mailed images should have been acknowledged by me, so if anyone has sent some and not received a reply then do please let me know.

I will be making the book as soon as I can, which may well be sometime next week. Until i actually start the job you can submit, but don't leave it longer than this weekend.

Progress report!

By 1.30am this morning (I get carried away when doing projects....always did) all the horizontal format images were in the book. I was just starting on the first veretical format one when I accidentally keyed in 1500cm instead of 1500pixels.....this slowed things down to a dead stop. When I had persuaded the PC that I didn't want it to carry on and rebooted it, I thought bed might be an option.

I now have all the book done and it awaits one final proofreading and then uploading. At that point you can view and order copies and I'll let you have a link when it's ready. It runs to 80 pages this year, up from last year's 52 pages.

If anyone still wants to get into the book then e-mail me 3 images before 7pm tonight and it can still be done. After that, you'll have to wait till next year.
