Cemeteries

Post by JOJO »

I'm interested to know about legalities of photography in cemeteries. I've looked on good old Google and it seems to me that it's OK as long as one isn't being disrespectful etc.

Further information would be appreciated.

Also, would photos of this type be appropriate for competition entries? :D

No problem in cemeteries. I use them quite a lot for lens reviews and quite often see other photographers there.

This was shot inside one of the two derelict chapels in Atherton cemetery. Special arrangements were made to get inside, but there were no objections.
Best regards

Brilliant. Thanks John.

I have previously taken an 'arty' picture in Atherton Cemetery but feel I could improve it.

Lovely picture of the chapel. I always wondered what it was like inside them. Such a shame they're no longer in use.
