Lens Problem - EF 24-105L

I've just secured myself a studio again in Ancoats, Manchester and had my first two shoots back on Friday.
I checked all my camera equipment the day before, as it hadn't been used for a while.

My 24-105L started to 'chatter', not exactly searching for focus, as in 'hunting' but moved very slightly. Then, when I pressed the shutter, it just showed Err. My camera is a Canon 5D Mk1. I was wondering if anyone with a newer camera would be kind enough to try it for me, to see if they could get a better error.

I had to do the whole day's shooting with my 70-200L. Heavy isn't the word. #SaveTheWrists

Thanks John.

I work in Bolton Town Centre now, so I've just popped into Mathers and he said he knows what it will be, but to still send it through them for an estimate. He said it's the diaphragm control circuit will have split and it's quite common.

As they are best part of four figures to buy new, I think it's better to repair!

Lens all repaired, took a week and a half, £150 lighter. It was a circuit board that moves with the diaphragm, 'easy fix', as well known. Gave the lens a good clean up as well, happy bunny.
