HELP with Nikon

Post by pammie »

HI

I cannot open raw files from a Nikon D90 with Photoshop CS3, despite downloading the correct download and substituting something in the folder files as it asks. The weird thing is, the same images will open perfectly well on Ian's computer on CS3 no problem.

Any ideas?

cheers

Have checked your version of Camera Raw is the the same as Ian's.

hi Tom

if you mean the images straight off the memory card, then yes as I can load the images straight off the card and view them in CS3 no bother on Ian's computer. Which, by the way, does not even have a profile to view raw images as we checked.

Downloaded the recommended raw plug in for mine, but I can't see them even after doing that. All the data comes up (exposure time, f stop etc etc) just no image.

Hi

Are you using Camera Raw to view your files?

Hi thanks for the replies guys. Yes Paul I did download something from one of those sites, but it didn't work. However, I subsequently downloaded update 4.6 instead of 4.1 and now I can open images in Photoshop, although I still can't preview them in Bridge. That is a bit odd as the dowload should fix both.

Ah well half way there, at least now I can edit them.

Maybe this is a sign we should return to film lol.

cheers P
