CANON LENSES FOR SALE

Post by mikeaspinall »

Hi Folks,

I have a couple of lenses for sale if anyone is interested before I resort to Gumtree or E-Bay.

A Canon 75/300 mm F4-5.6 Mk 3 USM lens boxed and in excellent+ condition for which I'm asking £80.

Also an 18-55mm NON IS lens in very good condition which I'm hoping to sell for say £25 ono.

Will bring to the club for inspection if you are interested.

Cheers

Mike, you don't have a collar for that 75 - 300. I have a 70 - 300 but want to get a collar for it.

Hi Glenys

Sorry no collar. It doesn't come with one - I assume that as it is so light it doesn't need one.
Are you talking about the 70-300mm L lens. If so they do one on Amazon by JYC for around a tenner .

Hi,
I am a newbie to photography and I am thinking of coming along to the club.

I have been offered a Canon EF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 IS USM Lens for £200

Does the IS bit make it worth so much more than the one you are selling?

I have got a Canon 60D - is this lens compatible with this camera? See............newbie

Cheers

Hi Terry

To tell the truth the 70-300mm IS lens that you have been offered is superior to the lens that I'm selling. New, it costs over £300
so that seems to be a good price subject to condition of course . Either that one or mine will fit your camera. The IS enables you
to hand hold the camera at lower speeds and still get a good image, again, subject to conditions of course.
You will be most welcome at the club and I would encourage to come along this Thursday to see what we offer our members. I can
bring along my lens for you to look at (no obligation) to give you an idea of the 70-300mm range and if you would like that please make sure
that you bring your camera with you.
Hopefully will see you on Thursday.

Michael

P.S. I sit near the front on the left hand side, am the little guy with glasses and near white hair so please come and say hello.

Cheers guys, I will come along on Thursday (and bring my camera...cheers)

I will probably go for the IS lens - the bloke selling it reckons he has only used it a few times. But if you don't mind, I would like to see the range.

Hopefully this will be the start of an exciting new hobby.
