Not for the first time, a new 50mm f0.95 lens is being released. The first was the Canon (known as the "Canon Dream") of 1959 and the newcomer is an aspherical Leica M optic for their rangefinder cameras. They say with the advent of modern lens techniques and materials it will be a very superior beast. At nearly £7000 it should be!

The Digital M8 rangefinder camera is also being upgraded, with the ability to defer re-cocking of the shutter for the quietist operation. It also has a sapphire glass cover to the LCD screen to reduce scratching of the surface. Nearly £4000 and one could be yours.
