used some film at last

Post by mark dyson »

I have been able to get out and do some photography for a change. I had a nice walk over White Coppice towards Drinkwater. I have had a picture in mind for a while concerning some trees set against the moors and today it all came together. I used my 35mm loaded with Kodak plus x 125 pro film and a 135mm lens to compress to perspective so as to isolate the trees . I knew the blue sky would turn out a mid gray which is not a very nice look in a black and white photo so I used some filters. I used a polarizer combined with a dark red to make the sky go black and the single white cloud above the trees would be white in contrast. The grass and trees would be on the lighter side and should be a nice gray through to white, ( that's the theory). I will develop the film this week and get them printed and then my so called film buddies can have another laugh.

Nice to hear someone else still uses FILM.

Still use it myself, as well as Digital, but not as much and have lost a little bit if skill with using digital so I am going to have to do a lot more.

Maybe at the next quiz night we should have a section on Spelling ?

Long Live Film.
