Need some cheap film

I'd like to get some cheap film. I'm off to a wedding in Sorrento, Italy in two weeks. I'd quite like to have a go at some black and white film while I'm there, does anyone know where I can get 3 or 4 rolls of cheap black and white from?

I've tried ebay etc, but thought other might have some better ideas. I don't mind if it is out of date etc, but would prefer black and white. Can't get out to the pound shop until the weekend.

Thanks.

Hi there

Mathers in Bolton still sell film and on their web site are showing the following:-
KODAK T MAX £3.69
KODAK TRI X £3.99
ILFORD PAN F £4.50 and
ILFORD FP4 £4.40

all 36 exposures
They tend to have a different price list for 'over the counter' but if you quote their
web price they will usually sell for that.
They are in Market Street and on 01204 522186
Hope this helps

Michael

Mike, thank you very much for the quick response. That's where I bought my last from.

I've just purchased a new 40-150 lens for my Olympus micro 4/3 camera and asked them about film, they are sticking me two Ilford HP5 400's in free of charge!
Now that's what I call cheap!

Hi Bazza

Not sure what a 'barging' is mate but if you mean a bargain then I'm your man.

My favourite expression is that I make Scrooge look like Father Christmas but in my case I mean it. LOL

Phil,

Can I remind you of a much earlier post when you were looking for some film and possibly to do some of your own developing, etc.. I still have the film and kit intending to sell it on ADAPS auction night with 50% going to club funds - but if you want it before your trip make me an offer - 50% will still go to club funds.

If you had some Ilford XP2 you can process it at any one hour processing shops like Max speilmans as it is a c41 process and it is OK to scan.
