Martin Mere

Post by allanhamer »

Following on from the last post "Chester Zoo" here are some from last weekend at a very wet Martin Mere. Didn't stop me getting the camera out though :)

Comments etc appreciated (good or bad - it's the only way to learn)

You're doing fine with these Allan. I do like the way you are getting in close.
Best regards

Hi Allan

Again, another fantastic set of images, I still can't manage to get birds in flight, you have got several here in this set. How are you getting so close, what lens are you using?

Hi Tracey

The bird shots were helped by how tame they are at martin mere, plus some persiverance :-)

The lens I was using was a Tamron 70 300 USD with a little cropping

Thanks for your feedback

Hi Allan

Just to echo Tracey's comments. You certainly seem to have the knack of getting great pictures my friend.

Thanks again Mike.

I'm sat here looking at them on my work monitor and thinking they look quite dark. Perhaps I need to calibrate my own home monitor, always something that wants improving no matter how much time you spend processing shots hehe

Hi Allan

They're all good, but the Widgeon ^ really stands out for me. Lovely detail in the plumage. ;-]
