Following on from the last post "Chester Zoo" here are some from last weekend at a very wet Martin Mere. Didn't stop me getting the camera out though
Comments etc appreciated (good or bad - it's the only way to learn)
Cheers

You're doing fine with these Allan. I do like the way you are getting in close.
Best regards

Hi Allan
Again, another fantastic set of images, I still can't manage to get birds in flight, you have got several here in this set. How are you getting so close, what lens are you using?

Re: Martin Mere
Hi Tracey
The bird shots were helped by how tame they are at martin mere, plus some persiverance
The lens I was using was a Tamron 70 300 USD with a little cropping
Thanks for your feedback

Hi Allan
Just to echo Tracey's comments. You certainly seem to have the knack of getting great pictures my friend.

Re: Martin Mere
Thanks again Mike.
I'm sat here looking at them on my work monitor and thinking they look quite dark. Perhaps I need to calibrate my own home monitor, always something that wants improving no matter how much time you spend processing shots hehe

Re: Martin Mere
Hi Allan
They're all good, but the Widgeon ^ really stands out for me. Lovely detail in the plumage.
