camera phone

Post by mark dyson »

Just bought a smart phone and have been playing with the camera and the apps and I am quite surprised with the results.

The best thing is the lack of control and being limited as this sets you free to concentrate on the image and then you use the apps to make your own images. Once you start its very liberating to just shoot and not to bother with the technical side.

Hi Mark

This could become a whole new creative outlet for you.

I'm still getting to grips with the camera on my phone, but have taken some decent snaps. I think I naturally prefer a big, heavy camera.

Maybe there's the makings of a competition here... Images captured on a mobile phone?

For goodness sake, get the violins out someone :-[ :-[ :-[

Mark - I like your wooden posts shot above, good detail and colour in there considering it's a phone. Personally, I'd miss carting 10 ton of camera gear round with me on the off chance I might need it, can't see these camera phones catching on myself, it's a bit like Cheesecake (cheese...... cake...... - what's all that about)

We've had a compact camera competition, so why not a camera phone competition? It sounds like an interesting idea!
